I have a confession to make… I have been CHEATING! Picture Progress and Weigh In! 4/5/15

Happy Easter everyone, I hope you all had a peaceful and enjoyable day with your loved ones. I have missed the past 2 weeks of photo progress due to being out of town! I  have been having a fabulous past two weeks and have loved celebrating and being with friends, and family. Even though today is Easter Sunday I refuse to miss another picture progress and weigh in, ( to my dismay) I’m sure…. ;/

I have kept up making healthy food choices even while out of town and really exercised self control. There has been (more than I’d like to admit) lots of cheating with my former lover…. WINNNNNNNE…. Uggggg I’m embarrassed to share this, but Bringing Milfey Back is all about honesty and the raw hard facts of being a mommy that is trying to get her groove back… I drank, drank, drank, and DRANK! I admit I’m a 37 year old mommy of a 2 year old and a 5 month old…. I don’t get out much anymore these days, and I don’t take drugs, muscle relaxers, or even advil to take the edge off EVER… (and did I mention that Madelynn is teething)…. Yeah, so wine has been right up my alley after the kids go to bed…. Okay, Okay, and sometimes while I’m making dinner even before they go to bed, or out on one of my giant walks…..  ;/  LOL! Oops…

So Cocktails and wine have always been my go to and started letting my sweet old friend back in last month while dealing with a lot of stress that was thrust upon our family at a really inopportune time. Also, I freaking love wine!!!  I have to say, it tastes like mana from heaven and I LIKE to drink it. So I allowed myself to have a few glasses of Chardonnay one week and turns out I lost 3 lbs that week… Hmmmmmmm I thought…. “Maaaaaaaaaaybe this time is different, maybe  I can actually drink wine a few times per week while working out and get away with it, my prayers have been answered” ! So I  continued to have wine and some champagne over the past few weeks on occasion…..

Well, I should have gone back and read one of my first blogs saying, “I had to be real and honest with myself,  I cant have alcohol during the week and expect to reach my workout goals”…… Yep, that didn’t last long, eventually the 2-6 glasses ( I would have said 2-8 glasses, but sometimes I actually share) 😉 three days a week were catching up to me, especially while being on vacation, it was like a free for all!  I’m sure by now you are getting my drift, and probably getting board of my wine drinking play by play, but I really felt it was necessary to let you all in on. I have been working out like crazy, eating right, and drinking… Drinking is why I have not made substantial progress towards my fitness goal…. UGGGGG!  Now, I’m making a pact with myself ( and I hate doing this, because I always stick to my word, especially when telling others about it) that I will have NO ALCOHOL until my Las Vegas trip for Memorial Day with the besties! Then I’ll drink like a fish and not regret a single drop!

I’m doing this for a few reasons, FIRST, because we will be joining a few major pool parties in Vegas, and I refuse to be the chick hiding in the corner with a cover up on, pretending she is self confident and protecting herself from the harmful rays of the sun…. SECOND, because I cannot reach my strict workout goals while indulging in wine and champagne….. (duh)… THIRD, I want to really exercise some supreme self control!!  So many of my friends and acquaintances have told me that it is just IMPOSSIBLE to give up alcohol for lengthy periods of time. I always disagree, and say we can do anything we put our minds to, even while most of these conversations come up while we are guzzling some sort of alcoholic beverage away together.  So let me stick my feet in the fire and be the example rather than the person that just blows their own horn about being a dedicated human being…. And FOURTH,  last but certainly not least, if I can’t cut out the wine, then I have a problem and should probably get some “help” … LOL!! SO it is ON, let’s see what I can do and I will share everything every step of the way!

On another note, I reached a major goal this week and hit the weight of 175.0! Now I know that sounds astronomical but it is progress for me, and I treated myself to my favorite Mexican restaurant in Willow Glen, Talaquepaque #2!! Ohhhhh I ate EVERYTHING and drank two delicious chavellas (a huge frozen goblet of beer with a shot of tequila with a salted rim) … I loved it, and enjoyed my victory meal to the very last scrap… When I woke up this morning I was so swollen that my eyes looked like E.T. and my lips looked like tuna cans… I stepped on the scale and thought, ” maybe I shocked my body enough that I actually lost weight”, like they say in all the fitness magazines….. NOPE… not me…. I gained 5 lbs and 2 oz.’s!!! OMG!!!!! I just laughed, and thought “Of coarse not, what the heck was I thinking”! LOL!!

So my weigh in yesterday was 175.4 and today’s weigh in was 180.6!!! I know I’m just swollen and holding on to water but what a bummer!!! However, I am moving forward and never going to quit, after all, Vegas and a sexxxxy bikini are calling my name in 50 day’s!! Time to turn it up at every angle!
